Benefits Built-in FTP Server FTP, File Transfer Protocol, uses the Internet’s TCP/IP protocols to enable data transfer. Basically speaking, it works for exchanging files over the internet. FTP is most commonly used to download a file from a computer using the internet or to upload a file to a computer. Configure the FTP features of the MD-250, like adding/removing users and their permissions. Built-in Samba Server Samba is a software that can be run on any platform like Windows, UNIX, Linux , and Mac OS,and others systems. Samba uses the TCP/IP protocol that is installed on the host server. When correctly configured, it allows a server to communicate with the same networking protocol and becomes a network file system. Configure the Samba feature of MD-250 for home/office network file sharing. You can also create/remove folders and their share permissions. Status Shows the data related to your MD-250 to your MD-250 such as networking status and hard drive information .
